iTunes (or prob Last.fm) changed that. If you listen to a song sample from the iTune store it doesn't scrobble anymore, when it used too.

I like that cause I would hate to preview songs and end up having it scrobbled.

No, but I have altered a few of my plays to show a more accurate layout of my music taste.
Plus, I started scrobbling in 2010, and half of Amy Winehouse's (for instance) is non-existent and I'm like no, I love her

So.. I may leave her album on shuffle while I'm in the shower not listening. It's an OCD, I think

Change your password on Last.fm and then add your account again via the scrobbling device. It will load your plays.

Keep them real! What's the point of "cheating"? The only time my last.fm is inaccurate is when it scrobbles a track too many / little times.

Speaking of cheating, I noticed, just now that I think Last.fm is being glitchy again

It says I have 80 scrobbles by White Lies, which is NOT true. I only have one song by them (Death) and looking at my iTunes it has 24 plays (recorded). Where did the rest come from?? My iPod? Even so I doubt I heard it 56 times on my iPod.

Train, 84 plays, which might actually be true, but 34 plays came from (To Be Loved) while I have Drive By (7 plays) and Hey, Soul Sister (0 plays recorded; which is weird...).

I'm assuming when I plug in my iPod in it, it messes / duplicates everything?



Looking at my past 6 months top tracks, Death has 80 plays. And To Be Loved has 74.

Exactly. I have issues with songs being duplicated, usually only when I plug in my iPod to update it.

Or songs don't get scrobbled.

And people cheat to get an artist more plays on Last.fm overall.

I dont use last.fm anymore, but when I did I would always accidentally walk away or fall asleep with something playing on repeat...And it would be something I dont normally listen to that much so itd suddenly have tons of plays and annoy me so I had to put other things on repeat to balance it out lol.

Thus why eventually I just gave up on last.fm

No but that glitch that repeats plays for certain songs happens to me sometimes, especially when I scrobble my ipod. And I don't know how to fix it.

All of my plays are legit. Yes, I've genuinely listened to Bey 34,000 times give or take 3 or 4 times when I fell asleep. Other than that, they are legit scrobs. I have periods of time where I just don't scrob.. I'm trying to get to 100k so I started back.
