I understand that people from other countries tend to do that, as it takes much longer until a show arrives here overseas, but if I'd have the possibility to watch the show live on TV, I would do it. Because if no one watches it = bad ratings = cancellation = nothing to watch online anymore.

But there is offical websites for channels here in the uk. Like you can watch everything the bbc plays on their channels on the bbc iplayer, is there not similar things in the usa?

Live television viewing has gone down due to the increased use of DVR and the internet including sites like Hulu and such. Also spring time ratings go down due to daylights saving and people staying outside longer in the warmer months.
Networks have begun adjusting to these changes and are still working on how to correctly gauge their shows

Ugh, CBS is tripping
That must be the worse ratings it got all season. I have a feeling it might go though because they didn't end with a normal cliffhanger like they always do.

My prediction is NY gets canceled and Miami gets a short final season but who knows what CBS has up its sleeves

The movie which originally aired on Lifetime had a 1.4 demo and 3.898 million viewers so interest tapered off. But it stayed a .9 in the demo out of its lead in which is good. The upcoming weeks will determine if it lasts

Mark Pedowitz (CW chairman) has a lot of rational decisions to make. Something drastic has to be done! Only 1 show out of the entire roster is above a 1.0 in the most important demo. The sad thing is when you calculate DVR ratings, none of the shows that I've listed on the bottom don't even reach a 1.0!
- Nikita: 0.4/0.5
- Gossip Girl: 0.5
- Ringer: 0.4
- Hart Of Dixie: 0.5

Ringer is done. HoD and Nikita will probably be gone too depends on the pilots. GG SHOULD be gone but will probably be back for a final season a la OTH but it doesnt deserve it.
Supernatural and VD are safe. TSC is above the other 4 listed above but it shouldn't be back either, it's too lead in dependent and it still looses too much of its lead in. 90210 will be back because of syndication purposes even though its not doing much better than anything else on the network. And ANTM is renewed for 1 cycle more but then should go on hiatus for a while. CW better hope their pilots are amazing and can attract wide viewership... Pedowitz knows what hes doing

They should just cut out GG, HOD and, sadly, RInger. Nikita has potential on a different day.
