A mixture of both. My favourite song from TD (E.T.) you have listed as happy, while my second-favourite (TOTGA), is unhappy. So it doesn't matter to me

With Happy Katy, I think I can imagine those songs being sung by another artist. I love TD but it's not unique to Katy.
Unhappy Katy is distinctly her. The writing in TOY and TOTGA show her ability to capture a feeling effortlessly and CTD shows her sass and anger perfectly. Like previously mentioned, she shines (and is most convincing) when she writes and sings in an upset tone

Though the majority of her unhappy songs are better than her happy ones, I prefer the happy songs.
I listen to Katy for fun, carefree pop music. TD, CG, WUIV and H&C are songs that could only be done by Katy
