Call Me Maybe became an internet phenomenon last month when Justin Bieber, Selina Gomez, Ashley Tisdale and Big Time Rush recorded their own spoof video and uploaded it to YouTube. To date the clip has nearly 30 million views.
Carly today becomes the 11th recipient of the Official Singles Chart Number 1 Award, the new award scheme supported by Radio 1 and OfficialCharts.com, launched in the 60th anniversary year of the Official Singles Chart. The brushed aluminum trophy is now presented to every new track that reaches Number 1.

Okay, so this could be a major piss in the wind, but I actually think Carly Slay Jepson might make it to 2 weeks at UK #1. Bieber sales are going to be massively front-loaded with all his Beliebers buying their single as soon as they possibly could. In the last few hours, the popbars have slowed and Carly still remains up top. If she can sustain consistently decent sales throughout this week, Bieber's going to fall and she can snatch #1.
Just my theory.
