I don't get Bieber's appeal. I mean, is he an Urban artist now, does he still want to be a teen idol, does he still make Pop music? These are questions that are baffling to me, which fuels my wonder as to why they made this move.

Urban radio plays the same three artists - Chris Brown, Trey Songz and anything Young Money. It's hard for huge breakthroughs to occur there, so I don't see how Justin will fare well. They need to find him another audience to appeal to.

He's growing up and is experimenting with more and different genres, he won't ever be an urban artist and I don't get why you act like "Boyfriend" is a hip hop record when he basically raps on 2 short verses. The rest is very pop and not really unusual for him.

The song is Urban-Pop which was popular in 2001. It definitely has a strong urban influence, which is risky. I never said unusual.
