Yep, but it's kind of normal for a song to slown down when it is about to enter top 10. That happened with CC. It was #11 for two weeks, but we know it is Carrie fastest song to hit #1.

A nice explanation from a chart expert:

First I would not say the panel change hurt Carrie as she did gain airplay, just not as much as the songs around her.

I did a little checking and I know what caused the big discrepancy between GG's gain from the panel change and that of the other top songs. I checked the adds report and found that the list of stations that had not added GG had changed. Previously there was only one station. The new list had 6 stations, all of which were added to the panel this week. Now that is not as bad as it sounds as all those 6 stations are playing GG. In fact at the end of last week, 5 of the 6 station where between 22 to 34 spins for GG. However the Mainstream Country Dial Global, which is a group of stations all using the same playlist, had only given GG 7 spins for the week. Because Dial Global is a group of stations, its AI contribution is huge. For example the top song (Lee Brice's AWLY) has 38 spins which translates into 3.7221 million AIs. At present, GG is climbing on Dial Global, but it is currently at 16 spins and 1.7364 million AIs. This is up from 4 spins a week ago. But all of the other song above and around GG are higher on the Dial Global playlist. Remember when I noted Tim McGraw's BTIUTB had a huge AI increase. That is because he has 35 spins and 3.5106 million AIs on Dial Global. Also someone noted that Jake Owen gained a million AIs on Taylor Swift after the panel change. Jake has 36 spins and 3.4637 million AIs on Dial Global where Taylor only has 25 spins and 2.6651 million AIs.

So in the end GG did not pick up as much in the panel change because she has a lower spin count of Dial Global presumably because it is a much newer song. But in the future, GG has more room to grow on Dial Global. So eventually GG will pick up all that airplay as it climbs on Dial Global.

I really can't see where this is coming from, no stations were added to the Country panel, actually one station was dropped, thus there are now 139 radios reporting to the format.
Now as for the slow updates of these last few days, it could be a combination of factors, one being that Dial Global radio station (even tho i disagree with that user's opinion), the rolling effect, and imo the drop of that 140th station from the panel.

Well, I don't know... I don't know a lot about radio But he's been following charts for years and years, so, I think he is right.

So far, no information about more promo lined up. But Carrie said april will be a crazy month
