Amazing news! I'm really impressed with Shakira's quick comeback. This is a first! I think she now understands that those huge breaks really made it difficult for her to maintain relevancy. Quicker single releases are necessary in this current music market.

Her label decided to release one more single off her Spanish album, "Sale El Sol." I stopped questioning their motive of thinking and decision-making years ago, this era has been dead for quite some time now. I'm pretty sure the song will follow the same suit, as her previous singles. The video will have a 5 dollar budget, and it will be directed by long-time Shakira collaborator Jaume de Laiguana. Shaki fans, know exactly what I'm talking about. The video will premiere at an odd time, like "Rabiosa" did. I believe the video for that song was released at 1 AM.

No, it's not the lead single. It's just an additional single from her "Sale El Sol" album. It's rumored that the song will be featured in one of Shakira's upcoming perfume commercials. It seems that Epic Records is just trying to get a little bit more money from Shakira without doing any promotion. They're using the perfume commercial as promo for the song so they decided to quickly release it as a single.
Real promotion will start with the lead single of her English album.
