Simple question: which side of your family do you like better? Paternal or maternal?

I was raised by my maternal grandmother for the first 3 years of my life while my parents worked, so I say maternal.

Also, my cousins' from my paternal side of the family are so boring.....all they talk about is science and robotic engineering

I prefer the family from the side of my mother but I prefer my dad to my mom but I guess maternal >>>

Neither. I hardly know anyone on my dad's side since they all live in the Virgin Islands, and my mom's side is very divided.

I predicted most people would like their maternal side better. I think, in general, children tend to be closer to their maternal side, sometimes reared by them. The preference for the maternal side may even be greater for females and gay males, who make up the vast majority of ATRL, but that's just me speculating. Thanks to those who have voted so far!

Well my dad's mom is my favorite non-nuclear family member, but his brother's family is kinda being lame right now. My mom's side of the family have some problems but they're generally fine... I say they're equal.

I have only met my dad's side of the family once, they live in Serbia and speak no English whatsoever.
My mom's side of the family all live in England, so I'd say I like them better as I've been with them all my life.

My dad's family is so basic and boring family reunion with them is just my mom's family on the other hand is the total opposite, they're all about having fun and party

My dad's side of the family is crazy, but I love them. My cousins are more around my age, so we always have a good time together.

My mum's side of the family is full of little children who I am left to babysit.

They're very sweet kids though.

I am always left watching Dora The Explorer.

Both are disfunctional in their own way, but I prefer my Dad's side of the family. Mainly because I'm close with a lot of my cousins on his side. My mom's side is a mess. Every time we get together there's unnecessary drama and yelling

A big majority of my mother's family live in the Philippines and the few that live in the United States live in different states.
