Will this rule help Monica & Brandy's new song? I would hate for them to do all this promo and the song doesn't even chart on the hot 100

Get that platinum hit Adele.
In 4 week and at an average of 70K a week, RITD will hit 7x.
And about the same for SLY to get 5x.

It was only a promo single and never intended to be a success. In fact they planned for it to flop and asked radio to pay the song dust so that people will be HYPED when the real lead single comes. That's just how genius they are. I read it was all JLos plan. JLo her business power.

“I’m becoming a little more comfortable in front of the camera. I wasn’t used to it before. I was thrown into a new lifestyle and everything I do is kind of filmed or photographed. I’m a private guy. I like to keep to myself. I’m shy, maybe. It gets kind of tricky for me but, I’m beginning to find the fun in it. I don’t take myself too seriously so if I’m front of the camera, that’s what you’re going to get, me clowning around."(Bruno Mars)

I love that they included on-demand streaming.
I kinda wish to know the exact percentage used for sales, on-demand streams, radio and passive streams.

Total chart point may be calculated as:
Sales: 322 * 35% = 113
Airplay: 46 * 50% = 23
On-demand streaming: 1100 * 2% = 22
Passive streaming: 9.2 * 100% = 9
Total = 167 points
These percentages are just indicative. Only God and Billboard know what the exact formula is.

"The chart's new methodology continues to place the greatest weight on sales, with radio the next most influential component, followed by streaming. (Under the chart's new recipe, on-demand streams will be weighted twice as much as passive/online radio streaming)."
Sales is higher now, so it didn't drop from 40% to 35%. And if on-demand streams are twice more than before, its 10%.
Maybe... 50% sales, 35% airplay, 10% on-demand, 5% passive.

I'm going to test your theory.
What's the difference between on-demand & passive?

I'm not sure. I figure they are separate since they word it as such, but we won't really know until someone breaks it down. I feel like on-demand is like Spotify/Slacker, while passive/online is still the norm (Yahoo/Myspace, etc.)

On-demand are streams and tethered downloads by both paying and free-trial users. I believe you usually have to download and install the programs on your computer for access. Stuff like Yahoo, Myspace and VEVO are examples of online streams.

Seems right. It seems the chart is mostly influenced by Spotify. Looking at the top lists now, the positions are about the same.

saddly it might, the problem with this song is that lil wayne took a really long time to release the video and when he released it there was no real promotion for the song not even one live performance but it's still doing great on youtube more than 55M in a month
