Those Billboard rules are only for the first 4 weeks of an album's release. Anything after 4 weeks, very low prices for albums will be tracked into Soundscan's system.
Uh oh. I could see this catching on. Labels will wait until the 5th week to discount the album to a couple of pennies in hopes of breaking a record. The sad thing is that people are using what would be a good deal for all the wrong reasons. I'm all for making digital albums much cheaper than they currently are, but don't do it to compete with another website or break a meaningless record.
Well, I completely disagree with this but I need for them to do this for Rihanna's new album, Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday (at 1.8M I need this to hit 2.0M) and Adele just for the heck of it.

Ace Reject on Queen Britney: Haha you Hive members are a trip! I didn't warn GMC (for this ...), but it's not getting reversed! Britney and "iconic songs" is not a sexuality thing, it's a class thing. Simply put - if you were born in the 80s/90s and were middle class OR ABOVE, Britney songs ARE iconic.
