Xtina's higher with her latest smash on iTunes, and Billboard, and it was bigger than anything on Born This Way, Femme Fatale, and 4. Her soundtrack album's actaully charting on Billboard unlike Brit, and charting higher than 4, and BTW on iTunes. Bionic actually charted again a few days ago where FF was absent for God's sake -

I would say
Beyonce slayed Ashantis career because she was the one with the hits and crossover appeal to pop.
Beyonce stans are the worst and doing the absolute most for including Sunshine anderson, Lil mo and other artist with no crossover appeal. Beyonce nailed Keri Hilson but that was because she was mouthing off. I don't think she would have gotten that far, though.
Britney nailed the blonde pop stars and the anti Britneys (minue Pink and Avril). There was this one chick in the mid 2000s that came out swinging against Brit but she was a nobody so...
Madonna nailed Cyndi Lauper
Janet nailed Paula Adbul
Mary J nailed Keyshia cole and whatever r&b star out for the moment
Nicki nailed Lil Kim

Don't be mad because your fave could have had the success/impact of Britney/Beyonce/Shakira/Pink and didn't take advantage of her opportunity.
In 1999, xtina had the potential to take madonna, whitney, mariah's formula and elevate it.
She had what madonna was lacking (vocals) and what whitney and mariah was lacking (the ability to move and be controversial with an oversexed image)...imagine what could have happened if she took advantage of her opportunity to own pop/rhythmic/latino with a punk edge.

Nicki ended her comeback, though. She put out a mixtape dedicated to Nicki and it still didn't sell well. Unless, we are to believe those 113K first week sales she was touting around.
