Why do some of you guys think she will do 800k in the US and more than a million WW when she couldn't do that with Confessions on a Dancefloor and Hard Candy both having much bigger first singles, Hung Up and 4 Minutes.

Madonna has never been a huge first week seller.

Her biggest first week was 470k or something like that for ROL.

I predict them to be really big in the first week, but I expect a huge drop in the second week. Some people lost interrest in the album after they listened to GMAYL or even GGW so it's gonna be hard for the album to keep selling good after all her fans and some curious people buy her album. As long as this album isn't having any big smash single that will win back the general's public interrest and keep the album selling, I don't see this album a smash.
It's sure that the album sales will be front-loaded but she doesn't have that hit single smashing on radio and iTunes and that's gonna affect the album sales pretty much.
I still think in the end, if the album isn't going to have any big hit single it could still sell 2 million copies worldwide...

She never opened like really big in the States. However, 'Confessions On A Dancefloor' opened with 1,457,000 copies sold worldwide, and 'Hard Candy' opened with 821,000, but in her defense, while '4 Minutes' was massive, it wasn't as massive as 'Hung Up.'
