I don't think it went anywhere, all artists are entitled to their off days...

LMAO. So her voice goes and comes back? How ridiculous
She was, is and will always be THE other VOICE!!!!!!
Mariah's voice did seem more clear and her runs were free and she finally showed some improvisation singing Shake it off and Always be my baby with the different approach to the verses.
and I liked that Luther Vandross note at the end of I'll be there lmao yall know how he used 2 sing some of his word "thhhhHEeEeeEERRREEE" lol
I think so. I saw a live performance on MTV last week she was singing "We Belong Together" and it was defiantly recent. Here's my response when she hit that note and you know what note I'm talking about..
Her vocals are definitely not up to 2003-2005 standard yet, let alone the 90s level, but yeah, she does sound stronger+clearer than she has, the past couple of years.
One thing i did notice during performances of Always Be My Baby and Shake It Off is that she's starting to vary the melodies a LOT, whereas in the past efw years she always sang the same variations, if you know what I mean. I mean listen to I'll Be There, it's been a while since she sang that " ill - BE there" B4-E5 jump and I was very impressed. She always used to sing the first set of I'll Be Theres in the last chorus and let the audience sing the last set of I'll Be Theres, but this time she sang everything, which I liked.
In terms of her tonal quality, I think it's a fact that we'll never get the Daydream-Butterfly tonality back. Her voice still sounds the same as the MOAIA era, only that it cracks less, I guess the rest did help.
But what sucks is that she STILL lips the high notes - the climax of Shake It Off, the key change of ABMB, the bridge of Hero, I just want her to actually go for it, you know? Instead of lipping it. If she continues to do this, she'll always be on the same playing field.

and this is the best performance of "Touch My Body" she has done since the song came out. She didn't sound strained and hoarse and cracky, and she added some runs with words that she has never tried runs with, and she seems very confident in her voice again letting it run free live and not going by the original recording so much and experimenting with the song.
THAT LUTHER VANDROSS LIKE NOTE AT 2:55>>>>>>>>>> 'tthhhHHHHEERREEE" that's LUTHER!!!! Mariah went in !!
and u can notice the subtle difference like on "Shake It Off" she sings "KNOW I'M HERE TO stAAYaYayyY at 1:12 and the "I gotAaAaa" run at 1:34 and then the "IIIIIIIii" at 3:30 sounded nice and I only think the "I JUST GOTTA SHAKE IT OFF" high part was lipped after that it sounded live
