Michel Telo's "Ai Se Eu Te Pego" is the second No. 1 on the European chart in Portuguese.
In 1989, created in France group Kaoma, whose musicians come from different parts of the world, tops the European Hot 100 Singles chart for 15 weeks with "Lambada". The lead vocals in the song belonged to a Brazilian singer Loalwa Braz.
I noticed it atop loads of european itunes so checked it out on youtube. Well it has a catchy accordian(?) hook I guess but it's a bit cheesy. Very eurovision song contest. Plus his voice sounds weak on the English version.
Interesting to see what it does in US and UK. Not much probably.
