I have an example, but I don't really know if it's a good one. In May 1985, my mom was about to have her first child (my oldest sister), and she chose the middle name "MaDonna". She chose it because nothing else really went with my sister's first name, and it sounded catchy. When I asked her later why she gave her that name, she told me that she thought Madonna was just a pop singer with one really big song who would never be heard from again, so she gave my sister that middle name. She also said that she would have never given the name if she would have known what Madonna would later do in her career (all of the sexual things). So there's a moment from the general public in 1985
