Kid Cudi Expresses Frustrations With Record Label Over WZRD
Kid Cudi takes to hit Twitter account venting about Universal Music Group under shipping his newly released ‘WZRD’ album.
Most of you already know that Kid Cudi teamed up with Dot Da Genius to drop their much anticipated rock debut ‘WZRD.’ The project was officially released onto iTunes and select retailers today, but it turns out Kid Cudi’s label, Universal Music Group, hasn’t kept up their end of the deal when it comes to shipment and promotion.
Kid Cudi took to Twitter expressing his frustrations with UMG, ” So i apologize on behalf of my weak ass major label. And I apologize for the lack of promo, again, my weak ass major label,” Cudi explained, ” They tried to rush me thru this so i can just give em another MOTM, but guess what? F*ck that, next album is WZRD. MOTM3 on hold til 2014″
Kid Cudi continued to tweet apologizing to fans for the lack of in store copies of the ‘WZRD’ album. “Ok so just a heads up, my weak ass label only shipped 55k physicals cuz they treated this like some indie side project tax right off.,” Cudi continued, ” So its def gonna be tough to find one in the stores guys, I’m sorry about that.”
