I would never know it had so much AI if it weren't for the official #s. I've never heard it on radio myself.
It has no video & no performance, but besides that I think it more has to do with that it's more of an urban hit than a pop hit. Unless I'm wrong.

I used to hear Take Care on the radio all the time. Not so much anymore.
With Rihanna and Drake, I thought it would be a sure smash. Shame, it's such a great song. Easily one of my favorite singles of the year so far.

It is smashing lol. It has over 80 million AI on radio and still growing obviously and the video has yet to be released.

How much pop support does it have?
YM is horrible with music videos.

This.
However, a lot of rap artists tend to suffer from the same thing, not just Young Money.
"Lighters"
"N*ggas In Paris"
and to an extent, "Young, Wild, and Free" took quite a while before a video came out for it. It debuted in the top ten, and for a long while, nothing happened with it.

I mean, it's doing well on radio (apparently), but the iTunes performance has been underwhelming. Take Care has 10M AI on The Motto, yet The Motto is higher on iTunes.

I've seen tons of doubt for this single, but I believe once the video drops it will become bigger. It not having any promotion whatsoever has kept it at bay on iTunes (Top 20-25), so hopefully they do something.

I think that could be because Take Care is split between Pop and Rhythmic formats, without really having smashed as a number one on either yet. Take Care is number four on Rhythmic, though, while The Motto is number one AND it actually has a video. So I'm not surprised that it's selling more for now.
However, once Rihanna gets up and starts promoting it with Drake, rather than doing We Found Love again and again like she's been doing, then we can maybe see some progress.

I really like it, but didn't it already flop?
I feel like rock music is dead.

No, it raced up the iTunes chart when it was digitally released and then fell, which is normal for a lead single from a band with only one hit.
Cobra Starship's song "You Make Me Feel..." did this as well, quickly fell out of the iTunes Top 100 after release, then re-entered the chart a couple months later and look at it now...
Or, it could take the Owl City route. We'll see.
