Jay-Z premieres Rita Ora's "Party and ********" on Z100
Following her UK chart topping feature on DJ Fresh‘s single “Hot Right Now“, London raised Roc Nation signee Rita Ora joined her label boss Shawn “JAY Z” Carter for an impromptu premiere play of her debut single “Party And ********” (listen to the song in full here) on New York’s Z100 radio earlier today. Listen to the mini interview below.
Rita Ora’s invasion begins. The blonde beauty stormed New York radio with Jay-Z earlier today to premiere “Party & ********,” the first single from her upcoming Roc Nation debut. The infectious pop jam, which borrows its familiar refrain from Biggie, serves as the soundtrack for your next barbecue or block party. Rita is working with Drake, The-Dream, Stargate, and more of today’s top hitmakers on her album, due this summer.
I love her, I'm happy Atrl is catching up but I really don't feel the song. I wish it was a banger but where her vocals still shine like HRN. In this song, it seems like she is not a good singer but I'll give it few more listens.

Approaching a song rhythmically, rather than melodically, is something synonymous with Beyonce/DC and probably her claim to fame in respects to the question being posed.Of course CIL pretty much popularized "Go-Go" in popular music. The only other notable "Go-Go" song prior to CIL is "Doin' The Butt", and that was 1988.
An argument could be made that Beyonce is the one who popularized the heavy Urban/Hip-Hop driven backing with R&B outside of the US. "Deja Vu", "Drunk In Love" (in time), and CIL just to name a few.
