Personally, I would hope the big change is that she's more open and honest with her writing for this next album, but that has nothing to do with commercial success.

sorry but I don't think so her music is just boring
“I’m becoming a little more comfortable in front of the camera. I wasn’t used to it before. I was thrown into a new lifestyle and everything I do is kind of filmed or photographed. I’m a private guy. I like to keep to myself. I’m shy, maybe. It gets kind of tricky for me but, I’m beginning to find the fun in it. I don’t take myself too seriously so if I’m front of the camera, that’s what you’re going to get, me clowning around."(Bruno Mars)

I may be a tad delusional but I thought she already was a WW star.

You people act like no one is here for her love songs. Everyone loves a heartbreaking love song, but what's more difficult to translate into worldwide success is the appeal of American country music. She's taken the steps by moving to a more pop-oriented country sound, but you can't expect her to instantly break into a worldwide market when she started in a genre almost unique to the United States.
That said, she's already massive enough to go on a WW tour. She just spends the majority of her time selling out arenas and stadiums in the United States, where the bulk of her fanbase resides.

Nope, but it doesn't really matter anyways. She has enough US support to keep her a float.

Compared to 99% of country artists she is worldwide. She is also HUGE in Australia and very popular in parts of Asia.

I picked 'maybe'. Choosing whether to be a commercially successful artist or a critically acclaimed artist is like a double-edged sword. Rarely do artists attain both. I hope Taylor will achieve both though.
Dead at people calling her lyrics immature.

I went with maybe , but it's more of Maybe-Possibly
With the release of Speak Now , it charted in 21 different places
as I said , lowest charting position was 45 , for a Country labeled album that's like , huge !
And it charted better than Fearless in some countries , and when it was worse the Fearless it was only 2 or 1 spots lower , she sold out every single show , with the exception of the UK .
I think that she has a chance of smashing worldwide
I really could slap some of the people who work in her team
it's really not that hard to see that Better than revenge could have SMASHED hard . everywhere .
And Enchanted could have been one of her biggest hits .
The Story Of Us ? Great song . Released as a single?
Made it look like the worst song on the album.
I'm from Libya but I'm in Malta now , In Libya , Taylor is .. well not popular but a lot of people know her too
and she's respected .
In Malta , I went to one of the CD shops and asked him if Taylor sells good in the shop
his reaction was like '' Taylor? are you kidding?! duh! '' He told me that Speak Now sold 60 or more copies albums there , that seems little but like Malta is a small Island , with a popularity of 350,000 or so , If 1 shop sold 60 copies , that means she's a good seller .
Oh and my mum once heard Sparks in the mall , she immediately called me xD !
SORRY for the long post .
My point , I think that she's a step away from smashing worldwide , singles choices affect.

Who cares if the bitch isn't huge in Latvia somewhere? The only thing that matters is how big she is HERE. The U.S. is the biggest music market in the world, and I'm positive many, many foreign singers would switch places with her if they could. What is it with ATRL wanting everyone to be Shakira??? Hardly anyone is

No. She has fans, but isn't recognized by the general public well outside the US, at least in my country.

I didn't realize this was a topic that merited such a lengthy conversation.
She has certain markets around the world that she has a good presence in, and that she can further develop.
I highly doubt she'll ever hit the massive reach Adele/ Gaga have, being in the top 10 of every iTunes store worldwide simultaneously...

Hmm. I mean, Shania did it with country. So its not her sound that is the problem..
Hmm, doubt it though.
