I think there is a great difference between forgiveness and a blatant attempt at using controversy to score a hit.

There is a high level of awareness on the part of both Rihanna and Chris Brown that what they are doing will cause controversy.

This isn't really about morality or forgiveness or moving on. It is, though, about acknowledging the public's sensitivity to domestic abuse and cashing in on it.

It's an exciting and bold move and it's also a disappointing move. Public perceptions of Rihanna are bound to change at this very moment.
