Marry The Night would've flopped hard either way though the pretentious music video didn't help. Edge of Glory should have been the lead followed by Scheisse.

Jeff already confirmed that the next album will "be more for everybody" which basically translate into saying her next album will be more commercial friendly (BTW clearly isn't.)

Her next album is going to be massive though. She isn't going anywhere no time soon.

If it was a 1st single GaGa would not have gotten the 1000th #1 single on the Hot 100.

I feel like this had somewhat of an influence. But songs like TEOG are prefect for radio.

How many times has this been discussed?
Anyways sometimes I believe Gaga had to much say in her career this era. Need I say more?
She had 3 singles and one promo single before the album was even released also not to mention almost a year passed and we are just getting info for the tour.
When the BTW ball comes to the US and once tickets go on sale we will all see whether or not she can imitate the same success as her previous tour which I believe is a true testament to her star power.
BTW in my opinion is the best album Gaga has done but I'd be lying to say if I wasn't biased. I LOVE Gaga but its no secret that she wasn't as successful as her first album. Obviously I hope she finds her way back to the top because I do love her but I do think she is her own worst enemy

She would've performed it at the Grammy's and it would've went #1 just fine.
The single choice for the 1st single really didn't matter IMO.
