The majority of it to be honest, stars are manufactured to have the highest appeal possible to certain groups of people.
I have no doubt that some stars are hugely talented but I also have no doubt that some rely too heavily on auto-tune, some are famous for their boobs more than anything else, some give themselves writing credits when they obviously don't write, you can buy awards and nominations as well as the now commonly known payloa, some pretend to produce/direct when they don't and some just sit back and let their label make them whatever is needed.
I have no doubt that you have to pretty much sell your soul to be a huge star, hence all the breakdowns and depression.
about 75%....
This reminded me of the Al Pachino movie S1M0NE (for those of you that haven't seen/heard of it, Pachino creates a computer animated actress for his new movie and fools the entire world until she's the biggest popstar/actress in the world)....it slayed
Like how many of the things do you think that happen in the entertainment industry are fake compared to real? How much of the total industry "happenings" are fake (expressed in percentage by the poll)?

Yes. I respect anyone who has the ambition to succeed and flourish in a field they have absolutely no skill in.

How many Britney Spears fans does it take to change a lightbulb? Zero, they all stand there in the dark convinced it's still working.
I was raised in a different era. When I was a kid, you had to have some kind of talent in the industry. Now, it's all about the whole package, image and the shock factor. Most of the entertainment industry now is fake; hence, Kim's wedding + divorce. It's all about publicity stunts and being attention *****. Anyone can become famous now.
Movies, TV, music : out of everything that happens within these industries (among other entertainment industries as well), how much of what happens is fake, calculated &/or for attention?
