I did like some of N*Sync's and Backstreet Boys songs, and Britney and Christina weren't as terrible as their flopped competitors. But TRL was the pits with all of those bubblegum artists spending 65 days at #1. 106 & Park was no better because it was the same case with Bow Wow and B2K (I ****in' hated the latter with a passion).

I watched Britney's entire videography on MTV Hits a few weeks ago and was so not impressed - not by the songs, and certainly not by the preponderance of bare-midrift / hair-trashing videos. Thank God she's no longer compared to Madonna because they're really in different leagues. Her appeal will always elude me. She reminds me of a superficial cheerleader who flashes her toothy grin and acts all cutesy nice when all eyes are on her, but then rolls her eyes and doesn't want anything to do with the "commoners" when no one's watching. Katy Perry also gives me that vibe.
