Britney's "You Drive Me Crazy" - Original vs STOP remix
Which do you prefer?
Original album version (1998):
STOP remix/single version (1999):
For me its the STOP remix all the way, the original just sounds...too dated and 90s - it
really hasn't aged well.
"That girl on the left, she ordered gummy bears and a knife couple hours ago, they only gave her the gummy bears. I'd wish they only had given me the gummy bears."
The Stop Remix has become the original to me. Though I do like the original's bare rock sensibilities.
That's true - the rock bit is great in the original, its just the rest that sounds very dated now especially that bit in the beginning!
"That girl on the left, she ordered gummy bears and a knife couple hours ago, they only gave her the gummy bears. I'd wish they only had given me the gummy bears."
I think the Stop remix is superior because I always wanted to hear it more when it came out. It was heartbreaking that it wasn't on the album at the time, since I couldn't find it any other way. Now I've grown to default to it since I have it, and remember wanting it so bad back then.

I've always listened to the original, but I have to agree that the STOP remix is better than the original. But I'm not about to go download the remix and replace the original.

Ahh, the days of no Youtube/Itunes/Spotify where you had to buy the CD single
