Song of the Moment Volbeat - The Hangman's Body Count
I welcome the rain
And as you walk the final top
They will start to dark my past
Nothing counting in this world See the valley turn to darkness on your way
How did I not know there was a Muse thread up until now?

Maybe it's just because there's very little Muse-related news going on. Well, either that, or it could be the fact that the thread starter has only posted twice now.

Rihanna helped the most...by tossing shade at Ciara's new song, she forced many people who otherwise wouldn't be checking for ciara to listen to "Body Party"... Ciara could be a big rival for Robyn....Rihanna may have signed her own death warrant with that act... but she is brave
Finally, NEW STUFF! It's just Muse posing for pictures with studio musicians...well, by studio musicians, I mean a ****ing orchestra full of musicians. Oh man, I'm getting so excited for the new album...and it's still SO far away.

I so want that new album to be like "Origin Of Symmetry" it's still my favorite from them.
OOS is probably their best, though my favorite is BHAR, personally...with OOS a close second.
Just found out (after over a month of being known on the web...yeah, I'm such a huge Muse stan. Psh.) a couple of interesting tidbits about the sixth album through an NME article. Among the most interesting:
-- Matt was directly influenced by artists such as Justice and Does It Offend You, Yeah? to the point where Muse are "expected to push (their electronic and grand orchestra tendencies) to their extremes this time."
-- This is the first Muse album that will feature a "dedicated brass section".
-- When asked if being a dad would influence the album, Matt replied, "I'll definitely get a lullaby on there."
-- The article further confirms that the album will be a new, more positive and personal beast.
-- The rumors are true: The tentative timeframe for the next Muse album will be in the autumn, with October being particularly mentioned.

Oh yes. I am excited.
Wow exciting news.
Loved "Butterflies and Hurricanes" hope new tendencies with orchestra will be like that.
I've been so focused on getting the Top 100 Songs of the 20th Century list off the ground that I completely forgot about the most awesome Muse-related news of the last month: They got to carry the Olympic Torch!

The crowd was limited to just 7,000 rabid fans (a number stipulated by police), who watched as the group carried the flame over Shaldon Brige into Teignmouth – a local landmark – on day two of the torch’s 70-day journey to the big games.
All members – Matthew Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard – got the chance to run with the torch. A total of 121 people were utilized to help carry the flame from Plymouth to Exeter, according to a BBC News report.
Even the International Olympic Committee understands that resistance is futile.

As for the music news, a brass section? I hope the guitar won't be forgotten about on this album.

We have an album title...and one very interesting video to celebrate the launch of the album title.
Three important things to take from this video:
- The album title, obviously: The 2nd Law.
- The album is set to be released in September, and I've heard that it will be released specifically on September 17th.
- And here's the one that has a ton of Muse fans talking (or ranting): The first half of the video sounds more like what I expected to hear on this album, with epic orchestral sounds. The second half? Dubstep. No, really. It could very well be a troll, which is a Muse specialty...but they did say that they were going to take their electronic aspect to its extreme. Very interesting, either way.
