Her voice pierces emotion every time she opens her mouth to sing a note. “Jar of Hearts” remains as one of the best song about love loss of the recent years. “Arms” is a bloody brilliant follow up but lacks the emotion and appeal that “Jar..” has. “Penguin” though is my favourite, such a simple, genuine, and a striking track that has a special meaning to me. Overall, this debut is very fascinating; the theme of being broken in love is being interpreted by Christina in a significant way of her own. Subtle, melancholic, strong love, the album pretty much sums it up. Hear this record for your own sake…Heartbroken? Pour it all out here...but don’t expect to be teary eyed as much as you & I do..but instead, expect the "inner strength" inside of you after you listen to the record.
Favorite Tracks: : "Jar of Hearts", "Arms", "Penguin", "Bluebird", "Bang Bang Bang", "Mine", "The Lonely"

"...Let me see you get high and go low, Now girl would you drop that thing down to the floor, I'm here for one night, how far would you go?, I wanna see you work out for me, work out for me, High and go low, Now girl won't you drop that thing down to the floor, I'm here for one night, how far would you go?, I wanna see you work out for me, work out for me..."

One of J. Cole's most pop oriented songs is this! Thanks to the samples especially Paula Abdul's "Straight Up" interpolation, I've gotten so hooked with it! Besides the chorus, J.Cole's rhymes on the verse with his swagger turned on has got to be one of the highlights! We better do some intense action! (whatever it is)...Definitely, we have to work out for it! (His sex tape with Rihanna DEFINITELY needs to leak this next year!!!)
"...My heart's a stereo, It beats for you, so listen close, Hear my thoughts in every no-o-o-te, Make me your radio, And turn me up when you feel low, This melody was meant for you, Just sing along to my stereo, Oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh to my stereo, Oh oh oh oh so sing along to my stereo..."

Uh Oh, this has gotta be one of the catchiest choruses I've ever heard not just this year but since I can able to hear! I don't think no one else is suitable in Adam Levine's position in the vocal chorus, because it's just, it highlights the song! We've got to admit, would this be a hit without him on the chorus? I highly doubt so! Yet, Travie McCoy's rap singing on the prechorus is like the second best but will never be the best!...
"...When you’re around me, I’m radioactive, My blood is burning, radioactive, I'm turning radioactive, My blood is radioactive, My heart is nuclear, Love is all that I feel, Ready to be let down, Now I’m heading for a meltdown..."
Album: Electra Heart Release Date: September 30, 2011 Genre: Electropop, house Length: 3:46 Label: 679 Artists Writer(s): Marina Diamandis, Clyde Narain, Fabian Lenssen, Mikkel S. Eriksen, Tor Erik Hermansen Producer(s): Stargate, DJ Chuckie, Fabian Lenssen

The first seconds when the song starts immediately deviates this sound of Marina compared to her previous stuff, but yet, this song is the definition of euphoria! At first few listens, I kinda adjust on warming up to it, but the Stargate production is as just irresistible to get infected. Though dubbed generic, Marina's distinct vocals separates it from the rest of this tracks within the same vein. As for the lyrics, it's not one of her best, but Marina once again colorfully weave the words out of her artistic credibility and vision!

Two years ago, she was my favorite new artist to debut in the British Music scene, and it's been two years since then, she's still one of my favorites! Within those 2 years, we Pixie fans have seen her growth and maturity and as well as her inspirations and influences on her music. Being one of my female crushes, she's now definitely more hotter and sexier compared to her innocent image when she debuted! But, it was her soulful style on her current records that made me even fall in love with her. Her sexy voice oozes soul tinged on pop tracks, I even prefer more her ballad stuff compared to the uptempos in her current album because it's where I think she shines the best! She had a #1 debut single this year, but in contrast to that, the album of it tremendously flopped! But, that's nothing! We know Pixie is here to stay and she will continue to SLAY!!!
