this thread is lame. you can't say whether someone is iconic until years after their peak. you need hindsight to be able to see the impact of their presence in the music industry. we can say britney is iconic because she changed pop and basically made it what it is today. but i would say it's way too early to comment on the status of anyone who only had their debut within the last few years.
only time will tell
