When Animal first came out this was my FAVORITE song off the album and I couldn't figure out why it didn't do better. But now, I hate it. The only song I hate more the it is Stephen
I do think it is underrated in the sense that so many people look at the lyrics and go "What is this trash?" I actually think it is a really catching song, I wish she wouldn't of released it as a single, it was (along with tik tok) the main reason she has the reputation she has today
What you do today is important because you are exchanging a whole day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; and in its place will be something that you had left behind... let it be something good.
I also think the music video is underrated, its simple, she looks good and has a similar message to the video
What you do today is important because you are exchanging a whole day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; and in its place will be something that you had left behind... let it be something good.
It's a vapid little number, but its only purpose is to entertain, and that, I would say, it accomplishes. In lesser hands (LMFAO, or someone along those lines) the track would be insufferable, but Ke$ha brings a little more character/personality to the table than most. For that reason, she can make a song like this work.
Ultimately, I think it was a mistake to release this one as a single, particularly as the immediate follow up to a quintessential party track like "Tik Tok". The first single may have planted some ideas, but I think the perception of Ke$ha, the one-dimensional, drunken *****, was really cemented by "Blah Blah Blah". She is that, but she's a lot more.
