I just got back from the 11:59 screening (Midnight Show) here, both shows sold out.
It was bloody fantastic.
Probably the best so far.
So many laughs, much more directed to a young adult audience, and the manifestation of the Tri Wizard Tournament to the screen is unbelievable.
You have to see this.
I think I'm drowning, asphyxiated
I wanna break this spell, that you've created
You're something beautiful, a contradiction
I wanna play the game, I want the friction
... You will be the death of me

It was awesome -- went to a 12:15 showing. The humor was great, I loved the Yule Ball set and the Triwizard Tournament coming to life was AMAZING. I even teared up a bit when Cedric died. Only thing I thought that could have been better: Ralph Fiennes could have been a hell of a lot more scarier as Voldemort.
Harder, better, faster, stronger.

It's out on the 18th here but I think I'm going to leave it a few weeks because the last tiem I went, it was completely spoiled by a brat and his 'guardian' , and the way we were 'cattle herded' before the show as well was awful. Then I was disappointed with the film as well so I was just annoyed in general, I am hoping this time is much better

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm really looking forward to it. People are complaining that it's too short and that they kept some amazing parts from the book out, is that true?
yeah.

They did take out some parts, I wouldn't say extremely important, but the movie still runs over 2 hours and 30 minutes, and all you really need to know is that the Tri Wizard Tournament & The Yule Ball are incredible.
Each task is amazing on the screen. Unbelievable.
And Hermoine's "big entrance" to the Yule Ball, and the way the Hall looked, it's just all very, very well done.
I think if Voldermort was any scarier, kids wouldn't be able to take it. He's already pretty gruesome.

I gotta say, the movie was absolutely amazing. It actually stays more true to the book than I thought it would. All the Triwizard tasks looked awesome on screen. Seems the Potter movies are getting better and better as they go on.

I was anticipating this movie more than anyone on ATRL. This isn't just some random ******** statement. I'd say it's borderline fact. This(and Walk The Line, which I so desperately want to see) is the only movie left that I really wanted to see this year, just to see how the movie would turn out compared to the book.
As it turns out, the movie was pretty good..
(Waiting for the "But"? Well..wait no more..)
BUT..
While they did leave out a lot of plot points and scenes, the thing that bugged me the most about this movie was not that..but the editing. For one, other than the one point where they mentioned how the Yule Ball was on Christmas Eve, you never REALLY knew what time of the year it was. For all we know, Mike Newell could have been trying to make it seem like everything that was SUPPOSED to happen in a year happened in a week instead. Not only that, but one moment, you're in a Triwizard Tournament challenge, and the next, you see Harry on a bridge or something. Normally, this wouldn't bother me all that much, but it was blatant and you could really tell. And on the subject of things they left out of the story, am I the only one who is absolutely horrified that they barely even touched on the Quidditch World Cup? I felt wronged.
Those are my main criticisms. Make no mistake about it, it's a good movie..just not the GREAT movie like I was expecting after Prisoner Of Azkaban.
Song of the Moment
Volbeat - The Hangman's Body Count
I welcome the rain
And as you walk the final top
They will start to dark my past
Nothing counting in this world
See the valley turn to darkness on your way

Just got back. First of all I'm so dissapointed at the fact that I was there almost 2 hours early, cause the show I was intending to see was sold out, so were the next 2 playing after it! And even though I was there almost 2 hours early, I still sat in the goddam front!
BUT. It WAS. SO. EFFIN. WORTH. IT.
Best Potter film to date. They always get better. I'd like to just mention how impressed I was with the studs this time, hehe.
My fave scene was obviously the maze, that was REALLY scary. There was this kid beside me and he was burrying his head in his mom's shoulder (aw). Yes. I LOVE HARRY POTTERRRRRRRR!
I <3 it:Avril Lavigne, Green Day, Coldplay, Weezer, Madonna, Ashlee Simpson, Shania Twain, Xtina, Britney, Kelly Clarkson, Mariah Carey, Jessica Simpson, My Chemical Romance, The used, Yellowcard, Gwen Stefani, Lindsay Lohan, The Killers, Jet, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, The arcade fire, Oasis, System of a down
Very Hawtness: The OC.

By far the best to date. That was an excellent movie.
The editing was a little excessive...I would have preferred an extra hour of the movie.
and baby yeah, just stay.

I saw GOF last Friday. And I have to say I was a bit disappointed.
I had been looking foward to seeing it, especially considering that I thought the 3rd film was incredibly well done.
I felt that this film was a highlight reel of book 4. It had no flow or anything like that. It jumped all around without really explaining what was going on. Did anyone else wonder while watching if Harry actually attended any classes during this year? Sure, it had some nice special effects and what not, but that does not make it a very good film. Maybe if I had reread book 4 again before seeing the movie I would have understood everything better. But I shouldn't have to. I don't know. I just thought it should have been a hell of a lot better. I was almost upset leaving the theater because it was just a huge disappointment.

You're stupid. They had to cram a 400+ book into a little kid movie, what did you expect? The movies are about seeing some of the major events of the book. Its not to duplicate each paragraph you big whiny freak. If you can't understand the plot of a book that you've already read without mommy taking your hand and explaining everything, than you're one sad mother****er.
I can't believe you acted like such a baby.

lmfao i'm in a state of disbelief. i CANNOT believe you posted that? are you attacking me for not ****ing worshipping a ****** ass disgrace of a movie?
First of all, the book was well over 700 pages, so your "400+" estimate is way off the mark. Siince when was this pg-13 movie a "little kid movie." Sure, the movies are about portraying, or as you said "seeing," major plot events. Did I say I wanted them to "duplicate" each paragraph? Nope. I just don't like how they cut SO much out it was IMPOSSIBLE to follow for us normal people who have not read the book 10 ****ing million times. The storyline was jumpy and had no flow.
And, I don't know what to say about your last sentence. Obviously I understood the plot of the actual book. That is why I was so dissatisifed with this trainwreck of a movie. I don't see how not liking a movie makes me a baby. At all. Seriously man.
