People make it seem like she needs to top her past eras, and/or have major success solo again. Why though? People even compare her with Mimi but Moves Like Jagger outsold every single from The Emancipation of Mimi combined. So what's the point? I'm fine with minimal successes like Bionic, and Lotus as long as her side projects like Burlesque (movie, and music), Jagger, and Feel This Moment keep her mega success alive.
It's apparent that you guys either don't have JOBs or aren't paying for these things, I mean seriously if they're selling a $40000 car for $100, and its new... Guess what, I' prefer it.
You're absolutely right. But the thing is, it's different when it comes to music. Yes, we all want a really good deal on the music we buy. But some artists turn what would be a good deal into a chance to get to #1, which isn't right. Sure, my fave is guilty of the discount gimmick, but it doesn't mean that I approve of it.
The thing that really bothers some i'm guessing that even at 99˘ Albums or 69˘ singles THEIR faves have by now by far passed their prime and wouldn't be able to sell 1.1m in an era where music can be found free and you don't have to sit by a radio waiting to hit the record button... or, the RECENT success of another.
I went into one of these places last week and there was a guy behind the counter, I ordered a medium black, no sugar, but then he started asking me if I wanted "ventro" or other foreign-sounding words, I was thinking sis, I just want a normal coffee :biblio: then he asked for my name while holding the cup :biblio: I turned and walked out of there so fast, didn't want him asking for my number.
