At this point, this should be the nominees.

And I think Marsha Ambrosius could show up in SOTY for "Far Away."

I think they'll give AOTY to Amy's posthumous release to make up for not giving it to her for Back to Black

We all know how the Grammys love them some B. Add '4' in for AOTY.

I'm Never Pressed 'Cause I Stan For The Best. .
Was the first to use the term 'The Trinity' - in reference to three of my faves, Beyoncé, Britney and Lady Gaga in 2009
The King and the legendary Mariah Carey are my other faves. Loyal lamb since '95.

No need for that. I would be content with a special tribute performance.

I would not be surprised to see Raphael Saadiq get nods in the R&B categories.
Also, I feel Beyonce may be slightly snubbed considering the way this era is shaping up to be. Don't get me wrong, she'll get nods, especially in the R&B categories, but I don't expect her to just blow her counterparts out the water. Competition is just to stiff this year. Jazmine Sullivan also had a very critically acclaimed album. Of course it wasnt commercially successful, especially compared to 4, but it's not always about commercial success with the Grammys.
I do think this year is Adele's year for the most part. GaGa has been rather hit and miss this era.
MBDTF deserves praise, but I feel it'll be overlooked.
I'm a Rihanna fan, but I don't have my eyes set on her making a huge impact on the awards. In fact, ill be upset if LOUD receives more praise than her overlooked masterpiece Rated R. She might get nominated for dance record, rap collabo, and maybe pop solo for CKB but even that's pushing it. I really don't see any album nominations, but hey prove me wrong.

I think the R&B field is stacked with Jill Scott, Raphael Saadiq and Marsha Ambrosius in the game. I love "4", but I feel it as Beyonce's best album and not necessarily the best R&B release of the past year. The R&B nominations are usually a mess, anyway (Karina Pasian, Pleasure P, anyone?), so I expect snubs and WTF nominations left and right.
And, umm, "Loud" has already received more praise than "Rated R!" ever will (a win in Best Dance Recording and a live performance of a non-nominated single right before announcing Record Of The Year).

He didn't compare them, he compared their albums, and Love Me Back had better reviews than 4.

I never compared the two. Commercial success =/= a good album. Jazmine's album, as well as Raphael Saadiq's album both have some of the highest metacritic scores of the year.
You Bey fans kill me acting like she can't get compared to others music wise. Career wise yes she is leaps and bounds above Jazmine, but I'm sure many consider Jazmines music to be better than Beyonce's. Different strokes for different folks.
Commercial success a lot of times has to do with projects and artists having a full label backing, something Sullivan doesn't have.
I'm not trying tp bash Beyonce, because I like her and '4' is her best album since DIL, but her fans are harsh and irrational at times just as all fanbases, but the 'Beyhive' takes the cake. As much as I like 4, I don't consider it the best album of the year, especially in its respective genre R&B.

I can easily see both Gaga and Bey not getting in AOTY. ATRL would throw an absolute ****ing fit if it happened.

You girls will not come for Jazmine. That album *****, even if it doesn't receive Grammys. I hate J Records.

Love Me Back BETTER make it into R&B Album. Not counting that Ne-Yo duet, it's the best non-4 contemporary R&B album in YEARS.
