Madonna had a lot of singles from "Like A Prayer" but many of them did not achieve the status of say, "Express Yourself" or "Like a Prayer." Think "Keep it Together (#8, but dropped off the charts like crazy)," "Oh Father (#20)" and "Dear Jessie." Yes, I know, "Dear JEssie" was a UK release only. Even with DJ, That's about 5-6 singles and not even close to 8-9.

The only three that made a huge impact was Like a Prayer, Express Yourself, and Cherish.

Beyonce had 8 singles from her, I am...Sasha Fierce," album. However, arguably, I only remember hearing, "If I were a boy, Halo, Single Ladies, Sweet Dreams, and Video Phone." So, I can see Lady GaGa doing the same thing. However, I would go as far as to say that she would probably do maybe 6 instead of 8. I mean Katy Perry has done, "California Gurls, Teenage Dream, Firework, and now E.T." So, doing a little more than that wouldn't be too much of a stretch. Furthermore, 2 of the singles will already have been out before the album drops. Within a year, I think it is safe to say she could promote 4 singles well. (I mean Just Dance came out towards the end of 09 and by November of 2010 we had Bad Romance).

I'm fairly certain that the standard album is only 14 tracks, and there are only 3 additional bonus tracks on the deluxe version. (Apart from the extra 5 remix tracks).

The only single they rushed on during the TD era was the title track, because they needed to release something else besides CG before the album came out. They released Firework & E.T. at the right times.

If anyone is rushing their singles it is Rihanna. OG & WMN? were dying down just two months after the album release, & S&M wasn't released very long after. We already know the 4th single too.
