And honestly, most male pop stars don't impress me, with the exception of Justin Timberlake.

I've always preferred females over males in the music industry.

I'd also like to add that most straight guys tend to listen to rap and metal, which is dominated by guys.

You made perfect sense

I like men & women in music the same.

I like my pop, which I have to admit is heavily dominated by females, with the exception of Jason Derulo, Chris Brown, Timbaland, etc.

R&B for me is female dominant too, with the exception of Usher

Hip-Hop/Rap, though, is heavily male on my Ipod, which is how the genre is in general. I'm hoping Nicki Minaj revamps the female rapper genre.

Rock I don't listen to a lot

Well, that depends on a LOT of things. Pop music IS dominated by women because pop music nowadays is basically gay music, and that's why it is, but all the other genres is the opposite. While there are like 20 successful guys, there are only 2 or 3 women. The ONLY genre that I think it's pretty much 50/50 is country music.
