Alternative and pop rock are not really the same. When I think of "alternative," I think of Radiohead, Beck, LCD Soundsystem, MGMT, R.E.M...
Pop rock is more like Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte, Maroon 5, Ashlee Simpson, hell even Katy Perry.
But I guess between those two groups I like Odelay by Beck and One of the Boys by Katy Perry (although I haven't heard enough of the other pop rock people to fairly judge).

Autobiography is pop/rock songs like Nothing New shows that also I Am Me but this is so much closer to pop thanks to L.O.V.E.. I would say Shakira's Donde Estan los Ladrones and some Alanis stuff are good too but if we talk about groups hmm Good Charlotte last album, some Fall Out Boy, TAAR...Coldplay

Simpson trains with a vocal coach, and studies old Etta James and Aretha Franklin albums for vocal inspiration. Simpson was face of Skechers shoes like pop superstars Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera..And the story keeps going on
