Well, I would like it if she went into a more of Hip Hop/Rap direction for the next album but with Pop crossover appeal.

This is what I fail to understand. It's somehow deemed okay when a pop artist experiments with genres like electronic music, urban, R&B, soul and so on.. yet when Nicki (who comes from a hip-hop background) experiments with pop music, it's automatically some big issue and not acceptable. What kind of double-standard?

Good music is good music though. It shouldn't matter what genre it fits under. It goes to show how music these days is all about labels and assumptions, rather than the quality of the music itself. It has become so superficial.

Putting the sales aside, I think it's safe to say that people love Nicki's pop songs. That's all that should matter. She is making fun records that people enjoy.
