A filler song (to me) is a song that serves no purpose, has no meaning and is just put on the album just because it's there. The ultimate filler to me will always be "Automatic" on Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.. I just don't see the point in it being there.
LADY GAGA | BEYONCE
With the pace Beyoncé is rising and her relentless determination to conquer whatever she touches, she will properly attain whatever title she desires
Filler for me it's something like Electric Chapel or Fading. It's good, catchy and all but still no one really talks or care about it because it doesn't bring anything new to the cd.
Horrible song is horrible song.
But Electric Chapel Is great, Fashion of his love, The Queen or even Goverment Hooker are fillers.
Here for:Madonna - Lady Gaga - Britney - Xtina - Rihanna - Lana del Rey - Coldplay - Kylie Minogue - U2 - Marvel - DC - Star Wars - Stephen King - John Katzenbach - Movies - Desperate Houswives - Fringe - History - Xbox 360 - Nokia - Volleyball
Songs that are only put on an album to push it up to 12 tracks, or whatever the musician was expected to record. It's (probably) never going to be considered as a single, it doesn't speak for the musician, it doesn't tell of the musicians experiences, it doesn't do anything but add to the track count.
A song that adds nothing to the album. Bad songs aren't always filler. EG Hair is a horrendous song, but I can understand why it is included. A good example of filler is Fashion of His Love - it's a nice, cute song, but does little to add to the theme/concept of Born This Way
