I think the other comment's right.
Mariah should be quitting that sexy image she's been doing since Butterfly.
She should, however, deal with that raw talent that she has. The Voice.
Follow Adele, Mariah!
She's already a wife and a mother.
She should really be putting depth in her music. A sense or seriousness.
It can't always be butterflies, rainbows and fun.
"honestly, almost every song on red (which i’ve heard is a reference to joni mitchell’s ‘blue’ which is pretty badass) is really truly amazing. trouble, state of grace, all too well, i almost do, red, 22, holy ground, sad beautiful tragic… like these are all CLASSIC songs. really amazing songs and if i could ever write a song as good as T swift does i would be pretty ****ing proud of myself."
You prefer the puppets in the hands of Labels? Some of your idols are this. Mariah has released this song because it's important for her, she's Mariah Carey, she can release new song when she wants. But I would be happy if this song has success with the video, remixes and promos. At least get a top 10 in the U.S..
this TRIUMPHANT song is the best thing she's put out since the last 10 years
that's the first song that ain't cheesy and that does not have a too simplistic and commercial melody (obsessed, touch my body : both are dumb songs for stupid teens)
i couldn't care less if she doesn't hit N°1
as long as she produces songs like triumphant which is already a true empowering anthem
I hope she has something better, it just felt dated
Fiona Apple. Criminal Azealia Banks. Nathan Britney. Gimme More. Kanye West. Love Lockdown. Lady Gaga. Bad Romance. Jessie Ware Devotion David Guetta ft Sia She Wolf (Falling To Pieces) Charlie XCX Stay Away. Lana Del Rey. Damn You Rihanna Diamonds
The big difference is that Obsessed had 10-times as much airplay at that point.
The song is struggling at 3 million audience.
Aww baby butterfly! It's ok, you'll figure out SOME way to crack the youth market, weeee bellllliiieevvvee in yoouuuuu!!
Mariah Carey's recently released 'comeback' single Triumphant (Get Em) ft. Rick Ross is NOT the smashing success we ALL hoped it would be. And while we can't say that we loved the song that much, we were still hoping it would do well for MiMi.
No such luck!
The rap-infused single JUST debuted last week, but it hasn't made it into the coveted top ten ranking of ANY music chart, and is currently sitting down LOW in the iTunes store at #70.
Ouch! But hey, at least some of the track's remixes are a little more on thefantastic side!
And, hopefully American Idol can do what it does best and fuel Mariah's not-so-steamin' musical engine. We'll take one ticket aboard the Mariah express, recent wrecks be damned!
