My point is that, while all this has significant evidence and research backing it up, I don't want to explicitly say that sexuality is caused by any one set of things because we have next to no actual proof of anything. We can speculate that there are several genes that influence sexuality and we have numerous supported theories to explain it, but until there is actual discernible evidence I would personally rather say we don't know for sure what causes sexuality variance, because honestly, that's the truth. I will be excited to see actual proof when we find it, to finally definitively state "These are the things that contribute to sexuality."
|
Wait, I think we're both saying the same thing.
We don't know the cause, but we know the result. We have enough evidence to know that complex genetics are involved in sexuality. But we don't know why.
I've also read some interesting articles about studies that showed homosexuality was much more common in populations of lab rats when the populations increased rapidly. They're probably not very credible studies, though.

I can only imagine. A pregnant chick "I'm going to my doctors appointment to find out if my baby will be gay or straight"
Doctor: "he will be gay, are you going to keep him?"
This is just some BS

Wait, what's reverse hair growth patterns and how would that differ a gay from a straight?

Hair swirls one way (either clockwise or counter clockwise, I forget) typically. Gay people have a higher chance of having the opposite swirl to what is typical.

There is no such thing as a 'gay gene'. Alot of people don't know this but there are other type of genes people are unaware of. Like the attraction gene, the one which makes you attracted to a sex or both for that matter. Then there's different types of feminine genes, ones which shape your personality into who you are. There are gay people who act like the ordinary woman, and there are some who act like a straight guy but is gay. The same goes for women. It's only a matter of what genes are passed on to you. You are most certainly born gay, just like someone is born straight. Once the world finally gets their head around this they will realise that being homosexual or bisexual is completely normal and all has to do with the genetics of science. It is impossible to change who you are because your genes are there forever. Just love yourself, don't be ashamed of who you are because you were born that way!

I'd rather have Mother Nature/God surprise the parents with the gay child as opposed to detecting it early.
That being said,if someone is going to abort/adopt their child just because their child is gay, then the parents' ability to procreate needs to be taken away (as with people who make too many children).IDC what the parents' beliefs are.

Not even shading anyone in particular, but I'm convinced if you put a green wig and cute pumps on an inanimate object and gave it one Top 40 Dr. Luke or RedOne single, you will see threads praising and stanning for it, comparing it to Michael Jackson and how they're slayed by its good personality

Its like your screaming, and noone can hear. You almost feel ashamed. That someone could be that important that without them you feel like nothing. Noone will ever understand how much it hurts. You feel HOPELESS. Like nothing can save you ...<3

Jesus Christ! This could end up being a mass elimination of homosexual fetuses if this theory can actually be put into practice. Science is great and all but I fear it's going too far lately

I guess it's good because it would show the religious guys that you are born that way. You can't decide your sexuality as an embryo.
I'm for it, but against it also. I think it's cool, but I don't like the idea.
People would be aborting their babies left and right if it wasn't how they wanted it to be.
