Alright guys, time to bust out the canes and liven things up again.
New topic: what have you done with your summer so far?
I've taken two summer classes ( ), worked, and tried to enjoy as much of my free time as possible.
Today, a few friends and I went to the Biodome, a sort of indoor zoo with a bunch of diverse wildlife, just for the hell of it.
Your turns

For the first time in years, it actually feels like summer. I've missed the good old hot Alberta summers that took a long 4 year vacation.
The boyfriend (who is now my longest relationship so far.) is moving to Vancouver in three weeks for school, which I could potentially not see him for four months

My summer has been ok. i got over my douche ex quickly and have been chilling for the most part. volunteering and class kept me busy. been having a little fun with guys. Was busy also with my family for 3 weels which was great.
Now I dont want random sex anymore( it makes me hate myself). but I dont want to be in a relationship anytime soon. and my ex just blackmailed me with some.stuff he has from me. he ows me 70 bucks and I asked him for it but he doesnt want to give me it. such an asshole
basically my summer has been a rollercoaster

Hey guys!
Summer has been fine for me so far. Just been working, getting car expenses taken care of. Getting things together to move to Jacksonville. Been avoiding summer romances up til then, but it seems like they keep getting thrown right at me! As of now, currently working on getting a few rap songs recorded with my group. Hope all is well with you all.

I can't wait for this class to be over. I'm so sick of school and just came to the realization that I won't have another break till next summer

Hey.. I thought of a discussion for you all.
Have your parents ever told you not to do something? But after not living for them for a long time, you notice they do some shady ****? Like saying things they should not be saying? Or maybe doing something they said never to do. Or maybe been doing something wrong all these times? Have you ever tried to tell them what they do is wrong and they tell you to shut up cause they are right? or maybe they said they are to old to learn? What are your experiences with your parents?

I know with my parents. They are just so rude about certain people taking up jobs.. and they think speaking a different language solves everything.. I cringed every time.. and then when I remark to them about it, they give me all this bull**** reasons why they are right to criticize...
I am going to start saying they are being racist every time I hear them say that.. I hope that will stop them. To bad they are back in Aruba now.. and at the same time, THANK GOD..
I love them to death, but I could not deal omg!

They're right though, languages are a huge asset, anyone who has them should use them to their advantage. People always freak out when I tell them I'm fluent in three languages.
Honestly, I love my parents to death. When I was a teenager, we'd have a lot of disagreements and my grandmother always told me that everything they did and said was for my own good. After all, what parent wants harm to befall their child? She always told me that and it really stuck with me.
Now, it's more a struggle for independence. Generally speaking, Italians are very family focused an productive. Hell, we don't leave home unless we're married or dead they're coming around though.

my family is very family focused as well. My mom always tells me to call my uncle in brampton cause friends leave you, but family is forever. Sure, let me call my homophobic uncle and tell him I am gay and let's see what happens
I have always been far away from my family because I never know how they will take it. I am only super close to some cousins, my mom and brother.. thats it!
But thats not what we are talking about. My parents just say so many racist things sometimes... It's just overbearing even hearing it in papiamento.. They just follow stereotypes and don't really like how certain people are overtaking canada.. it just annoys me to hear them say it and I remark them about how it's racist. They just get so mad at me.
And then also I suggested I can drive because my dad was tired and he told me I have no car skills. OLD MAN, your eyes and slow reaction got nothing on me
But oh well.. I guess thats what parents will be like!
