I agree. Yeah! was also the 2nd biggest song of the decade I think, and it kick-started the crunk trend (although there were a couple of crunk hits just before to be fair). Also, arguably, crunk is one of the things that led to the re-popularization of electropop in the charts which we have today.
I don't really think it kicked started crunk...he just got the most success from it
Just like how MJ didn't kick start the new jack swing, he just had the most successful album from it
