Or we're all sucummbing under USA's empire just like the Romans were conquering the world centuries ago?
Receipts:
America is the most powerful potency, has the largest military supplies and is constantly developing new technologies all the time. Many other countries do the same but they're not important like the States, why?
Plus, English is pretty much a worldwide standard for communications, bussiness, entertainment and so on; even though is far from being one of the most simple languages out there or the one that has the most users. The currency is also something to think about, is the dollar the best or the most valuable one?
What about China or Japan? Both are also powerful but you barely see the influency of either in our daily lifes, their culture even seem strange or out of this world and that's because we're so used to the american standard that anything that is not alike looks off.
Are we really living in a globalized planet or there's actually just one culture running it and taking control of it?
Discuss, girls.
EDIT: READ before commenting you ignorant & disrespectful moda****as

That's not what Globalization means, but yes the US owns the entire world through their currency and other means.
Though China might be a threat to that, many decades in the future.

Would you mind reading the fist post instead of jumping to a biased conclusion and showing your lack of reading and comprehension? Just saying.

History has shown that empires usually only last 200-300 years. USA's time is almost up.
My Civics & Economics teacher told me that.

I didn't mean to be rude. I just think it's, beyond dispute, obvious.

What kind of...? Of course globalization is real. It's funny because America is just a mish-mash of Anglo-Saxon cultures in the first place. Are certain countries underrepresented? Sure. Are European countries the only ones influencing global culture? No.

Yes, globalization is a sham for the west (EU & USA) to keep emerging economies from developing fast enough and to steal their resources, but the world is having a geopolitical power shift toward the emerging economies (China, Russia Brazil, India, Middle East). The American empire is crumbling under a slow economy and a high deficit.
The future is in the East. And it is coming soon.
And I'm not stanning for the East, it's just the truth.

China isn't even hegemonic, they can't even manage to control their side of the Pacific. Latin America and Canada pose absolutely no threat to the US, thus the latter can afford being hegemonic and to deploy virtually anywhere in the world. China still has a long way to go in my opinion. It is of my opinion also that if we ever get to see China become just as influential as the US we might already be old, if ever.

jk, sorry.
Seriously though, you should look at this:

The allure of the world's fastest growing economy and largest population is undeniable; global companies crowd into the mainland in search of salvation to offset markets that have peaked or are in decline. China's youth population is composed of 500 million under the age of 30 and is poised to play a vital role in the global economy. Until now, no one has focused on this powerful group and the strategies that succeed with them.

It''s not just China, its the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) they are growing at a faster rate than any other economy in the world.

A large economy doesn't equal power/influence (Britain is a perfect example of this). China's influenced by western culture and that is far more powerful than a large economy. America is going to take a very long time to fall.

The dollar is crumbling, and the possibility for the Euro to survive seems close to none since the Euro-zone countries haven't agreed on the policies to fight the European debt-crisis.
Depending on which currency the OPEC countries (the oil exporting ones) decide to get for their oil will become the global currency. It might be the Renminbi soon.
