The second reaction you are attacking is that "Gaga should have gotten a nomination. "

Yes at Drake getting the recognition he deserves! He probably won't win anything though, because I dont think his fanbase is large as his competitors.

And on a side note, I am so glad that Boyfriend got snubbed in the VOTY category. It is an atrocious video and doesn't even really deserve the nominations it got. Its probably going to win over Take Care though.

But even people who knew that they weren't getting noms are upset purely because everyone else is doing it. Some are evn planning to boycott the VMA's purely because their faves was not nominated (both those who were and weren't expecting noms) It's fine if you see no reason to watch it, but why ruin everyone else's enjoyment because your fave didn't win.

They could be quiet about it and let the other artists have their time to shine but some people just HAVE to have their way. She's had a hot streak since the beginning of her career (even having a whole category made after her "Best video with a message" because once again fans complained). Can they ever be satisfied?

So yes, they need to sit and DEAL. A lot of Monsters have been quite good with this, but a large portion of fans just don't know that they look like bratty children complaining over spilt milk.

I agree with your premise and I didn't expect nominations but I'm still going to watch. I'm not pissed whatsoever either because I didn't expect anything from Gaga and I'm overall happy with nominations.

With that said I'm tired of people acting as if Best Video with a Message was just to appease Gaga fans. The reason Gaga was snubbed out of a lot of categories is because MTV knows any fan voted category Gaga is in she will win. After she swept through VMA 2010 racking up 8 VMA's they didn't want to do that two years in a row because people would get mad at it looking like the ""Lady Gaga wins" show.
