I love when the Trinity works together.

Nobody was checking for Bey at the 2011 VMA's until AFTERWARDS. All the Britney fans were watching just for that bogus ass tribute. And those Monsters were only watching for Gaga to open the show. And nobody knew about Jo until afterwards. So, Britney.

The answer to this thread is Beyonce. Gaga also helped to bring in a considerable amount of positive ratings, but the Beyoncé's force was just too big. And anyone who says Britney is clearly delusional. Her 2 minute tribute and bland acceptance speech definitely did not have an impact on any type of ratings.

And it doesn't matter if Adele brought in the ratings for the VMAs when she was the biggest beneficiary after the VMAs.

MTV did a buzz breakdown from the moment the red carpet was opened to the moment the show was over. Beyonce was #1 by a landslide and Gaga was #2.

Gaga's performance of You and I is entirely more memorable than the 2 minute half-assed tribute for Britney. You tried though.

I definitely think that Britney tribute had everyone hyped to tune in, Beyonce however was the talk of the night.

People were tuned in to see Britney get her tribute
Britney brings in the ratings for any show she appears on, including past VMAS ( specifically 2007 & 2008)

Beyonce's pregnancy announcement obliterated almost everything, and Adele's performance stole the show. Those two, honestly.
No one cared about Britney's schoolgirl tribute, and Jo Calderone was interesting for about.... 240 seconds in total. Just saying.

Adele did. Then with the hype of Gaga, and the Britney tribute also helped. Beyonce helped halfway with the baby rub.

No one knew Bey was pregnant, until after she rubbed her stomach. So she helped at the end. It was initially Adele, Gaga, and Britney.
