I loved the video. IDK why but it was one of my favourite videos of the year! Classic!
HALEY REINHART / CARLY RAE JEPSEN
Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry
HALEY REINHART will eventually take over the world. Just like her idol journey started slow, her career is starting slow. But then the Benny and the Jets moment will happen, and she will explode world wide. And Keep on exploding week after week. The new Adele or Amy Winehouse? Not really! She is fresh, unique, and completely HALEY, and the world is ready for someone like Haley Reinhart. Make sure to buy her album Listen Up!
P!nk is an artist who'll never have to worry about not being relevant. From her first single, There You Go, in the beginning of 2000 to Blow Me (One Last Kiss) twelve years later, she's had a constant presence in the Billboard Hot 100's top ten. Despite this, she's a bit of an enigma. She doesn't have the constant presence of most huge pop acts, but she manages to outlast every single one. She's an artist.
Now she's back, with a brand-new video for her latest single. P!nk is well-known for her music videos, which tend to be equal parts angry and silly. Get the Party Started flaunted her silly punk party-girl image, U + Ur Hand had her going from one crazy style to the next (before Lady Gaga was around), Please Don't Leave Me found her assaulting her boyfriend because she loved him, and Raise Your Glass was a mess of all the seemingly random thoughts in P!nk's head.
Blow Me (One Last Kiss) is toned down, but still very much her. It begins with P!nk and her beau having a picnic on the grass, stylized as an old black-and-white French film. The two exchange sips of wine and are about to share a kiss when he gets distracted by someone else on the phone. Bad idea. P!nk takes the wine, the only thing in color, and splashes it all over his face before leaving.
Along the way she meets her own personal Fabio, who whisks her away to his mansion and paints her portrait while guests arrive for a party. Downstairs, she dances away the time while waiting for him. Eventually he walks down the stairs and, to everyone's surprise, drops down to his knees and proposes...to the woman standing next to her. The two then walk up the stairs together while P!nk looks on, devastated, and he blows her a kiss.
In the next scene, they're at the pair's wedding. Everyone and everything is decorated in white, but P!nk is dressed more appropriately for a funeral. The newly-engaged couple exchange vows, while she wears a smirk. Overhead, a man is riding a winged bicycle and carrying a heart (it's a P!nk video) that bursts and rains red all over everyone in attendance. Chaos ensues, and P!nk dances about, reveling in the scene. She then rides away on the winged bicycle with the man as "Fin" fades in and the film fades out.
If you like P!nk's videos in general, you'll enjoy this one as well. It's fun, the song is her still at her peak, and it's all the silliness you'd expect. There's no such thing as a simple formula when it comes to her and that's what makes everything she does so interesting. Blow Me (One Last Kiss) is no exception.
It would have been much better if it was shot in a different way, I don't like these white and black shots.
ďIím becoming a little more comfortable in front of the camera. I wasnít used to it before. I was thrown into a new lifestyle and everything I do is kind of filmed or photographed. Iím a private guy. I like to keep to myself. Iím shy, maybe. It gets kind of tricky for me but, Iím beginning to find the fun in it. I donít take myself too seriously so if Iím front of the camera, thatís what youíre going to get, me clowning around."(Bruno Mars)
