Remember that scene in The September Issue when then-Vogue publisher Tom Florio excitedly revealed to a room full of press that the September 2007 pre-crash Vogue would be the magazine’s largest issue ever? Well that record (840 pages) will be broken come September.
According to a spokesperson, this September’s Lady Gaga-covered Vogue will have 658 ad pages, which marks a nearly 14% growth from last year.
To mark Vogue’s record-breaking September issue, the mag is launching a Facebook contest on its page on Friday, asking readers to guess the page count. 100 readers who guess closest to the actual number, to be revealed on Saturday, will win Vogue’s new Editor’s Eye book (not due out until September) autographed by Vogue editors.
So, what’s your guess? Think they’ll crack 900?
The magazine will be LONGER THAN 840 pages, and it is POSSIBLE that it may even exceed 900 pages total.
Mediatraffic, sweetie. Confirmed on the forum by an adminstrator. Also, another source (less reliable) is Wikipedia. It lists sales at 15 million worldwide. Please research before you go around embarrassing yourself.
Yasssssssss... Gaga doing the most for the trees and mother nature.
