And CIL was rather local. #1 in like 3 countries only (US, UK & Ireland = Beyonce's main markets)
|
What?
IKAG was #1 in 17 countries and has certifications in 15 countries.
(Just Dance was #1 in 7 countries and has certifications in 13 countries).

At the time, BOMT and JD are just on par (huge). CIL was massive too but it's far more respected a decade on. Katy...meh.

Impact imo is measured after the time it was a hit. Or we talking about back when?

Baby One More Time, that song was EVERYWHERE, it defined childhoods, it changed the game for all pop starlets.
Classic.

IDK, I feel like Gaga and Britney's later singles defined their success more than their debuts. Bad Romance and Oops >>>> Just Dance and Baby One More Time. But whatever, out of these, Britney and Gaga's are the only ones that had an impact and they helped catapult both women into the pop culture stratosphere.

And as you should know sales =/= impact. Which girl is currently selling out stadiums worldwide? Right. The impact Just Dance began is unmatched by any of the current pop girls' debuts.

BOMT created a new breed of teenage celebrities using their bodies for success, it's iconic tbh. There's really no other answer.

Sigh...not again.
The one that made her the most successful debut female artist of all time.
The one that made her an instant icon.
The one that made her the most successful solo teenage artist.
The one that made her the youngest artist to have a debut album occupy the #1 album and #1 single simultaneously.
The one that was ranked #3 behind Michael Jackson and Madonna for best videos.
I mean...it's Britney b!tch.
Britney by a large margin, then Beyonce, then Katy Perry.
Just dance...I don't see the impact. I see more impact in Poker face to be honest.
The sign of a bad b!tch. Keeping dem gorls hungry and thirsty...here to stay and will continue to slay.
The results of a bad b!tch. The best selling, most impactful and recognizable artists of their time. 20th century Queen of Pop God.donna 21st century Queen of Pop God.ney...ur faves could try but it's too late. Hi haters...
