I never said California Gurls was mature; I was contrasting it with Wide Awake, which is much more mature and hopefully more indicative of what's coming than California Gurls.

In any case, I'm sure there will be at least one collaboration on the next album. I really hope if she does decide to do any collaborations, she does them before releasing the album instead of making those remixes The only one that was actually good was Kanye's on ET

True, but I would've been reported/slaughtered if I had said that

But I don't think ET's remix is that bad; Kanye's verse is a little trite but it adds something to the song and makes it sound a little darker/more serious. I prefer the original version though with Katy singing the bridge

On topic: I think a rap collab would work well for Katy. I'm not sure if she has any theme for it, but with the right sound her studio voice complements rapping and deeper male voices nicely.

Meh.Whatever I've heard so far has made me feel like she's just focusing on making it 'dark' and trying to create an illusion of artistic growth when there's nothing more than change of direction(and we're not yet sure about that either...I hope we don't see her singing wannabe 'serious' Dr. Luke produced songs dressed as a 13 y/o trying to be 'Goth').I hope I'm wrong though.
