Hello Kitty Kats!!! Katy Perry has teased the first details of her upcoming third album!!

Katy says she wants her next record to be like the ‘black box” of her life and has hinted that the album may be about some of her biggest secrets.

“I would love to just let it be the black box of who I am,” Katy told Capital FM this week, ahead of premiering her documentary film Katy Perry: Part Of Me 3D in the UK.

With all of the drama she has had from her split from husband Russell Brand she said she expects it to be much “darker” than “Teenage Dream” as it’s only natural that those experiences would find there way into her music.

She does however admit she is in a much happier place and could never write an album solely about heartbreak and sadness like Adele’s “21”.

“I’d never devote a whole record to heartbreak,” she revealed. “I’m happy, I’m in a good place, I’m looking forward to my future”.

So she's not going for an entirely dark album. It's partially completed, it's been confirmed that she's recorded a song or two already. 2013, be ready.

Katy needs to return to the control she had on her first album, but with a much more mature image, more along the lines of Wide Awake than California Gurls.
