Why? She is the best ballad singer I know.
All Good Things, In God's Hands, Stars, Build You Up, Try etc.
even though I like her ballads, it is still quiet risky to release them these days, how more mid and uptempo's, how more single options, and since Interscope isn't handling this era as it should, she needs alot of open options, if you get me.
I would have liked like 2 or 3 ballads. Enemy doesn't sound as great as her other ballads to be honest
Parking Lot is really cool and fun but I don't see how that is a hit song. It's very 'Whoa, Nelly!'.
It's totally different from what I thought it would be like.

At this point quality and variety > single options. Quality of the album is the only thing that can help her sell albums because it seems like no singles are catching on. & it's not like the album has only 11 songs so there are limited choices for the single. It has 12+6 songs.

I agree, but it's not like uptempo's and midtempo's could not be quality music
Interscope is just f*cking it up, she needed some major annouchment and promo, especially after that Greatest Hits era, she basically came out of nowhere with Big Hoops. Everything is mismanaged so far!

IKR Just look at No Doubt. They are in Interscope too...and look...massive premiere, also on radio, video in the day of premiere with youtube banners, released on Monday so it will get full week of sales, and they already have planned live performances and radio adds date.
Does Intercope hate Nelly because she didn't want to pull the English album as soon as Loose era ended?
at interscope they are always ****ing everything up with people that have huge potential! I mean look at how successful Nelly was in the loose era, and now look I hope that people see the album and buy it because they want new Nelly!!!

Interscope is just a big fail in general, they don't know how to handle certain projects. I mean every person could see that if someone releases a special side project (the spanish album) which basically put the major radars off her, and the fact that her Greatest Hits era sadly underperformed, that she needs every support and promo needed to put her back into the spotlights for her new main english project.
They also have problems to market Nicole Scherzinger and JoJo and probably others, they basically ruin the chances for the artist on a big scale with the way they handle projects
Big Hoops could have done well, especially in the US, but I think almost nobody knew it was out, she needed a big premiere for the song, a big performance, and I also don't get why Interscope didn't tried to get her some "push-remixes" for Big Hoops, those 2 regular remix EP's were nice, but imagine if she could have got some featurings on it, some people may would have find it cheap, but this project atleast could have launched properly!
They basically have the same poor strategy for SI now...ugh

Not only Nelly, Nicole and Jojo but also 50 Cent, Cassie, Dr. Dre, Game, Skylar Grey, Kelis, Soulja Boy, will.i.am and others. All having troubles to release their albums or having flops.
Yeah...nobody knew it got released because it had no US premiere, it was just basically put on iTunes without any banner, it was just hidden in the "new releases" tab...which made it go around top 400 on iTunes. Messed up radio adds date (they moved it 2 times)...No promo afterwards, video without youtube banners and after a while - lackluster BMAs performance that didn't help the song at all.
2 regular remix EP's actually gave me "Night is Young" teas - they did the same to that song and it didn't have adds date or another promo as far as I remember. No wonder that GH album FLOPPED to the pits of hell and put her off the radar even more.

Lol Big Hoops was even handled messier than I thought, it really seems they lack brains there and assume everything will sell on the name, rathe rthan putting some good effort in premiers, promo etc.
NIY was def. a mess, she had a pretty good GH tracklist and still they messed up the era big time!
Should we be excited cause it's less than a month away?
Or just afraid of another push back?
Like the sun in the morning
And the moon at night

Actually I remember it going to around #140 on US iTunes on its release day when it had that hidden ad spot in the 'new releases' section. The day after the ad spot was already gone for some reason and so was the song from the iTunes top 84189641600.
At this point I don't think I'll survive another pushback. I was GUTTED when the rumors surfaced, and even more so when it was confirmed.
