So, yeah. I think you already know what I'm about to say about this song. Beautiful ballad, written immaculately, blah, blah, blah. Truly, I didn't expect so much sap to be in the top 25, but I guess with a voice like Christina's, the sap could be to the max and it would sound amazing. That hook is spectacular, though, even if it sounds like it came directly from a basketball movie (oh, wait, a cartoon movie... that's MUCH BETTER )

This is a childhood song, so it gets points for that. But mostly, this is my highest rated ballad of the entire rate. Why? you ask. You can't imagine listening to this on your CD player (yes, I just said CD player) and watching your crush walk your way while waiting on the steps of your middle school while it's raining? If you can't, you're not listening to the same song Passion, supa, and I are listening to. This is truly the highlight of the album that made me like her in the first place.

Lyrically, this song is amazing. Even the music isn't half-bad. Her voice, though, UGH!!! I mean, there's bad and then there's just "what the hell is this"! If there wasn't that annoying style of voice she had, I would actually have given this a much higher score, but just... that voice. I'm so glad her voice improved tenfold since then.

I kinda wished this made it to the top 20. From the first verse, to the end of the song, this song is sing-a-long greatness. It's such a sweet song. A normal person would probably skip it, but a listener would definitely take their time to appreciate how great it is.

Not really the best track to introduce someone to Mandy, but it's definitely the one you wanna play just so the person could understand her style back then.

I'm not happy about this elimination either, but it's more deserved than the last one. This song is actually not bad for Mandy. In fact, it kinda knocks. I won't lie, coming right after "Not Too Young", I thought I was hearing the same song, but this one is a little more grittier than "Not Too Young". It's sexier, more risky, and more corny. IT ALL WORKS... but seriously, it's a favorite in my eyes.

I know there are people who go to this song instantly when they think of old Britney. Me, I avoid. I never liked this song from day one, it was always too cutesy, and I can only make fun of the lyrics. Sorry, but I'm actually glad this got as high as it did without getting higher. If I wasn't so nice, this would've been off before we started.

This might piss some people off that this sappy ballad is gone, but seriously, this is my song. Tell me you didn't go to one school assembly and didn't hear (or participate with) little kids singing their little hearts out to this little song. This already wins points with me for being penned by the always amazing Diane Warren. And it wins major points for going to the only singer in this rate who can pull it off effortlessly. Truly, this deserves high praise solely for the people who made it happen, but the song itself is a true masterpiece way ahead of its time.

"Born to Make You Happy" is by far one of my favorite Britney songs. Being American, I never knew it as a single, so it always felt like my undercover best should've-been-single from Miss Spears (back when she was Miss Spears). When I found out it was a single, I think I immediately loved it more than ever. This song is so sing-a-long, it's insane. This was the first song I knew every word to, this was the first song I ever think I cried to, and the first song that made me happy to be a Britney fan. So, to see it go before reaching top 15, let alone top 10, it's kinda heartbreaking. But, it's fine. I'm glad it got the recognition of getting to top 20.
